Purpose:
Will County, through the Community Development Department, has both supported and itself undertaken several needs assessment activities within the past five years to provide a solid planning base moving into the new century. Applying the knowledge gained from this extensive research and incorporating the assistance of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Grant programs, Will County herein sets forth its plan to provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, economic opportunities, and homeless assistance for its citizens from 2005-2009.
As part of a merger with the Land Use Department in December of 2006, the Community Development Division began supervising the Code Enforcement Section and Zoning Enforcement Section.
